About Mark Kassof
Mark Kassof has experience in both radio and research. After graduating from Northwestern, he worked as a programmer and air talent at eight stations, including KBEQ in Kansas City, KTFM in San Antonio, and KDWB in Minneapolis- St. Paul. His programming experience led him to an interest in research and ultimately an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Minnesota.
After U of M, he joined Reymer and Gersin Associates - a media research firm in Southfield, Michigan - where he conducted a number of major TV, Cable and Radio projects including the launch of Z-100 in New York and the N.A.B.'s “Radio Wars”
He founded Mark Kassof & Co. in 1985, to specialize in radio. A prolific writer and observer of the radio industry, he is best known for his “QUOTATIONS OF CHAIRMAN MARK” - a series of sayings on marketing and radio.
